Hi, Iām Sam
General Psychologist
I am an empathetic psychologist who strives to create a comfortable and judgment-free environment for my clients. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, and I strongly believe in a collaborative approach.
I offer a calm, supportive, and sometimes humorous environment because I understand the importance of feeling comfortable and safe when sharing what can often be very vulnerable moments. With experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, I know that therapy is a deeply personal experience. My goal is to help people better understand their relationships with others and themselves, fostering empowerment, healthy coping strategies, and positive self-regard.
I take a client-centered approach and adapt the therapeutic space to meet the unique needs of each client. I practice evidence-based interventions such as Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, with a strong emphasis on strength-based practices.
I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds and am passionate about supporting those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress (personal, work, school), adjustment problems, and mood disorders. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced emotional abuse and domestic violence.
