Hi, Iā€™m Michela

General Psychologist

I believe that gaining awareness and understanding of our thoughts, feelings and behaviour is a powerful tool to invite more choice and compassion into our lives. It is often key to enhancing the quality of our relationships, our engagement in the world around us and our ability to act in line with our values.

During sessions, I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where authentic self-exploration can take place. From this secure space, there is room to explore uncomfortable, confusing, and sometimes painful thoughts and emotions that may otherwise feel too scary and overwhelming to approach. I believe therapy involves dynamic interactions between the therapist and the client, and I aim to offer practical skills that can be taken outside sessions into your everyday life.

Qualifications & Experience

I completed a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Psychology and French at the University of Melbourne before completing an Honours of Psychological Sciences at Swinburne University. I hold a Master of Professional Psychology from Monash University and am currently completing an internship which will grant me full registration as a General Psychologist at the end of 2024.

I have experience in the disability sector and as an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) therapist working with children and young people. I also have experience supporting women and non-binary people who are experiencing domestic violence and homelessness.
